		Unlike most other single malts Glengoyne has been preserving the essence of its flavour for decades by using air-dried barley rather than barley dried using harsh peat smoke. The result is a more subtle, complex whisky in which all of the delicate flavours are freely allowed to express themselves. Tasting Notes Appearance: Golden yellow. Clear and bright Nose: Sweet, with toffee and popcorn aromas. Slightly nutty, with fresh green apples coming through Mouthfeel: Warming Initial Taste: Clean. Green apples and grass with a hint of sweet liquorice After Water: Sweeter. Linseed oil and almonds. Finish: Sweet and malty Comments: Great introduction to Glengoyne range.


				Discover the real taste of single malt. Distilled from air-dried barley without peat smoke, and using the soft, pure local water, this unique whisky is bottled unchill-filtered at cask strength to preserve its natural flavour. Tasting Notes Appearance: Amber, syrupy. Sauternes. Nose: Oak, sherry, digestive biscuits, sweet oatcakes, banana, apricot, peaches, marzipan and peardrops. Does not prick the nose, despite high strength. Mouthfeel: Viscous, rich and filling Initial Taste: Smooth, sweet start, with some sherry and chocolate. After Water: Becomes slightly waxy, with pepper at the tail. Finish: Very long, stays with you until morning! Comments: First released September 2004, this is a welcome addition to the family. This is 100 Proof, but you'd never know it. It slips down a treat and is probably at its best without water.

Glengoyne Limited Edition Scottish Oak Wood Finish (43% Alc./Vol) A 15 year old limited edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky finished in Scottish oak casks exclusively crafted for the Glengoyne Distillery.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Amber, with well developed cathedral windows in the glass
Nose: Rich, sweet vanilla. Honey comb, syrupy.
Mouthfeel: Rich and velvety
Initial Taste: Apple crumble with vanilla custard, then rich, bitter dark chocolate
Finish: Very long, dry and oaky
Comments: Spirit was matured for 15 years in the usual mix of fresh sherry and refill casks, before being finished in new Scottish oak casks for 3 months and 1 week. We struggled to get the oak as it was all being used to build the Scottish Parliament The addition of a Scottish oak wood 'finish' has added a unique robustness to the flavour without masking Glengoyne's real taste.

Glengoyne's distinctive style carries on improving with age. The same elements are present at 17 years old as they were at 10, only now the balance has artfully changed. A more concentrated, equally well-balanced palate of flavours has emerged, though it still retains the same clean, delicate taste as the 10 Years Old.

Tasting Notes
Appearance: Medium gold with a rich glow
Nose: Some sherry, Christmas pudding. Plenty of fruit - raisins, ripe apples and tinned oranges in syrup
Mouthfeel: Rich, mouth-coating
Initial taste: Malty, treacle, slightly nutty. Orange peel, apple compot. Rich oak.
After Water: Pear Drops and vanilla
Finish: Long and rich, with spicy oak
Comments: Multi award winning dram. One of the greats. Possibly the best pound for pound dram on the market.


			Another four years in the cask sees Glengoyne 21 Years Old achieve the optimum balance of flavours and the maximum benefits from the wood. Tasting Notes Appearance: Deep Copper, Meandering Legs Nose: Red apples, toffee, sherry, spicy strudel. Mouthfeel: Coating Initial Taste: Lots of Sherry, honey, oak with a developing aromatic sensation. Ends with a heavenly cinnamon nip. Finish: Long, sherry, spicy, warm and dry Comments: New in April 2007. Glengoyne 21 now achieves the optimum balance of flavours and the maximum benefits from our specially selected 100% first fill European Oak Sherry casks.
